Your Privacy is Important to Us
Trumart (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“you” or “your”). This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect about you when you use our platform, Trumart Storefronts (the “Platform”), how we use that information, and the choices you have about your information.
Information We Collect
Trumart collects only the most basic information necessary for logging in to the Platform. This may include your username, password, and email address.
Merchant and Seller Information
Merchants and sellers display their business information on the Platform, including contact details and relevant business descriptions. We encourage merchants and sellers to provide additional personal information in their store profiles, but this is not mandatory.
All Users Subject to Periodic Know Your Business/Know Your Customer (KYB/KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Screening:
To ensure ongoing compliance with international regulations and to mitigate the risk of fraud, money laundering, and terrorism financing, all users of the Platform are required to undergo a periodic Know Your Business/Know Your Customer (KYB/KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) screening process. This screening will be conducted every eight (8) months and will be facilitated by our trusted third-party partner, Effectiv.ai.
The purpose of this periodic screening is to verify the continued accuracy of the information provided during a user’s initial onboarding process and to identify any potential changes in status or inclusion on relevant watchlists that may have occurred since that time
Non-Custodial Platform
Trumart Storefronts is a non-custodial platform. This means we do not hold any of your cryptocurrency or smart contracts. You have complete control over your assets.
Peer-to-Peer Platform
Trumart Storefronts is a peer-to-peer platform. We do not facilitate transactions between merchants and collectors. Instead, you interact directly to negotiate prices and complete transactions.
Transaction Fees
Trumart Storefronts does not hold any funds, transfer funds, or exchange cryptocurrency. When a purchase is initiated, the funds are sent directly from the buyer’s wallet to the merchant’s wallet. Trumart receives a 5% platform fee directly from a buyer’s wallet on all transactions.. Merchants receive 100% of completed sales price
Hold Harmless
Trumart Storefronts is not liable for false or misleading claims made by merchants about their collectibles. We advise all buyers to conduct their own research before making a purchase.
Dispute Resolution
Trumart Storefronts does not resolve disputes between buyers and sellers. You must resolve them yourselves or involve local law enforcement.
AML/KYC Compliance
We require all users to pass KYC and AML compliance checks to ensure a safe and secure marketplace. This is done through Effectiv.ai, our KYC/AML partner.
KYC/AML Process
The KYC/AML process requires you to provide basic information such as name, address, date of birth, and government ID to Effectiv.ai. You may also need to pass a Liveness Check via webcam. User crypto wallets and addresses are subject to KYC/AML compliance as well. All wallet addresses (including secondary wallets used) will be screened.
Benefits of KYC/AML Compliance
Once KYC/AML is verified, you can enjoy all Platform features, including buying/selling goods and services, depositing/withdrawing funds, and participating in our loyalty program.
Data Use
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve the Platform
- Verify your identity and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
We will not share your information with any third party except:
- Service providers who help us operate the Platform
- Law enforcement or regulatory bodies if required by law
Your Choices
You can access and update your information in your account settings. You can also choose to delete your account, but this will limit your ability to use the Platform.
Security
We take steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no website or internet transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on the Platform.
Terms of Use
By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Use. These terms cover your use of the Platform, including:
